All tours are led personally by Mr. Boonin. The group tours usually start on Spruce Street and include two or three of the immigrant synagogues in the area of Society Hill and Queen Village. The tour also views and discusses the exterior of the buildings of the former Rosenbaum immigrant bank, the Kratchman bathhouse, the Talmud Torah, the Hebrew Literature Society and many more institutions popular with the east European immigrant generation in Philadelphia. The walk is normally two hours, but it can be adjusted to suit each group. Tours can begin or end at the two deli's in the area (i.e., the 4th Street Deli at 4th & Bainbridge or the PhillyDeli on South Street). Mr. Boonin prefers to adjust the amount of walking to suit each individual group. Most groups that have taken the tour over the past eight years (i.e., 1994 to 2002) have been from Philadelphia, the surrounding counties in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and from cities within a two hour bus ride of Philadelphia.
